If you are viewing this page on your iPhone, Android or maybe your favorite tablet tablet, I'm certainly not telling you anything you don't already know. Possessing an easy to navigate and comprehensive website to satisfy the ever-increasing audience of consumers, planners, appointment-setters, soccer moms, mobile executives -- you name it -- whom more and more are viewing online content with their smaller, yet increasingly more powerful and productive devices -- yes, the very same devices many of us are never without! It is almost imperative in this expanding digital age that your content must be compelling, well-designed, easy to navigate and accessible on a mobile basis. You could opt for the responsive design overhaul or maybe go with a mobile-specialized companion edition.
We are going to continue to compare the pros and cons of both strategies, but for now will offer both a standard and mobile-specialized version.
One of the drawbacks with a number of mobile design site platforms seems to be a lack of options in offering some pretty basic services, such as downloads, which are quickly and easily set up with desktop design, at least in my experience.
We have added a flipbook primarily to satisfy that need on this mobile version. When you click on the very compact widget, you'll see "Click here to read" buttons. Doing so should offer ample resolution for most everyone , depending on your eyesight and your particular viewing device, but you can always use sliders to really zero in on things. There are several groupings of controls which basically serve the same function. So, you can't wrong with any of them and you can always reel it back in to a normal range.
We added in a bit of multimedia just to do so, as media and entertainment sharing is where I see the truly beneficial value of flipbook creations. Although it serves the purpose we were opting for on this mobile site to display a .pdf and allow it to be downloaded. Simply clicking on icon buttons to download, listen to audio or view video, along with much more, can be added virtually anywhere on a regular page.
Fantastic News! More detailed updates coming soon, along with some website enhancements, but the good news is the 20th annual Evanston Car Cruise held
in 2015 will not be the final, as had been reported! Volunteers stepped up to revitalize the Car Cruise Club, and the 21st annual is a go for Aug. 6, 2016! Not only that, but the event is expanding to include new categories -- a Tuner Class, 4 x 4 Truck, Show Truck and Low Rider Truck. More details coming soon, including a tie-in with "The Great Race" coming to Evanston this June!
